The Festival of Light was recently held in Vancouver, Canada on July 30 through August 6th. As one of the largest firework competitions in the world, this event draws more than 400,000 people to the shores every night to witness the beauty of pyrotechnic displays shot off in the English Bay from two barges. The spectator stands were filled to the brim as firework fans cheered on their favorite pyrotechnic effects.
Music, vendors and t-shirts galore, but the highlight of the event, of course, was ‘The Battle of the Champions’ where Spain, Canada and China were pitted against each other for bragging rights of who is actually the best of the best. After much deliberation, China was announced the winner with their show “China Storm” that represented a trip through the year of the Rabbit.
If you didn’t get to make it out to Vancouver this year for this firework extravaganza, you can still enjoy the thrill of pyrotechnics in your own backyard (if allowed by law). Check out the great assortment of artillery shells at All Spark Fireworks that you can blast off into the sky such as Super Magnum Artillery Shell or Swift Victory. Gather up an appreciative audience and you’ll feel like a pyro pro yourself!
