pattaya fireworks festival
Is it already cold where you are? I know folks on the east coast are already experiencing a blast of early winter and it’s even cold here in Texas.  If I had my way, and an unlimited travel budget, I’d be sitting in a lounge chair at the Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort in Pattaya, Thailand. Maybe I can write off a trip as official research for All Spark Fireworks! Not only is the average daily high 88 degrees for the month of November, it’s also the host location for the “Pattaya International Firework Festival 2013” on the 29th and 30th of November.
So, after you feast on that turkey with all the trimmings, hop aboard a plane heading straight for this piece of tropical paradise. Enjoy the local culture and play on the beach all day, then head back to the hotel for an elegant dinner and some exotic drinks at the beautiful Mirage resort and then take in the fabulous firework festival from the roof-top garden atop the 19th floor. You’ll have an unfettered view of the pyrotechnic action that will break directly over the scenic Wong Amat beach.
The number of contestants is smaller, but the shows promise to be spectacular. Down from 10 foreign teams in past years, this year’s firework festival will feature 45-minute shows from teams from Canada, China, Singapore and the United States. I bet you are going to see some very special firework effects including over the top artillery shells and fountains. To draw in even more excitement, four local Thai celebrities were appointed as honorary team captains. In addition to the “Brighten your Life” firework show, there will be booths selling locally made products, a carnival-style parade, shows, concerts, magic and juggling acts and an exciting concert from local bands.
