Martin-Luther-King-Jr
Soon the nation will be celebrating the birthday of clergyman and activist, Martin Luther King, Jr. The federal holiday falls on the 3rd monday of every January, making it the 20th in 2014. King, who was known for his non-violent activism in the Civil Rights movement of the 1960s, may best quoted from his famous speech opening, “I have a dream . . . “ The thought-provoking words have become ingrained in our collective heritage as the country has made progress toward racial integration. Unfortunately, King’s life was cut short at the age of 39 years when he was assassinated at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tennessee in on April 4, 1968. In addition to the federal holiday, many cities and towns hold parades or assemblies in honor of King. Here at AllSparkFireworks.com, we think it would be a great tribute to set off a spectacular display of fireworks to honor this American hero.  Try one of our favorite cones, America’s Fountain, to get things started.
