Looking for a firework display for the holidays that will not only bedazzle your eyes but also be good for your body?  Work off a few of your holiday indulgences and enjoy some pyrotechnic pleasures at the Central Park Midnight Run that takes place on New Year’s Eve.  This year, the popular event is sponsored by Emerald Nuts (you know, those salty little nuggets you were enjoying at every seasonal shindig this month) and features all types of wholesome festivities for the non-club going types of New Year Eve merrymakers – including fireworks!
Beginning at 10pm, participants can enjoy music and dancing under the stars of New York City — remember to wear your commemorative long-sleeve shirt and dress warm! Then, at 11pm a parade starts that features all types of sensory sensations including participants from the costume contest. Yes, that’s right, the Emerald Central Park Midnight Run encourages runners to dress up in their ‘nuttiest’ costumes for the New Year!  After you show off your athletic prowess running the race, stick around to ring in the New Year with a spectacular array of fireworks that burst out in the skies with the tree canopy and skyscrapers of the city as a backdrop.  If you’re not in NYC and still want to run on New Year’s Eve, by all means do so – and don’t forget to add fireworks to your own special finish line festivities.
